1.How can we heal as a nation from these twin viruses: COVID19 and The Big Lie/QAnon Conspiracy Contagion? What are some of your proposed antidotes? The virus has spread from early 2020 until now with trump being president and the election going on, many things changes. To solve the problem, WE need to find out the importance of the virus’ impact on the whole globe. By wearing a mask, washing hands, using 75% alcohol sanitizers would decrease the risk of getting COVID. The reality of Trump at that time being the president, deriving the wrong information of COVID, not leading the masses in the right direction was a mess. Instead, he provoked racial conflicts and many people lost their lives since the nation was not clearly administrated.

2. What are your thoughts on Eugene Goodman’s actions the day on Jan 6th?Eugene Goodman’s action was viral. He diverted mobs from entering the Senate chamber and potentially saved lives and was later elevated to serve as the security official in the Senate. Also, not only he saved lives but representing a Black man who fended off a mostly white throng.

3.Do you think AOC demonstrated bravery in telling her story? How does such a narrative redefine power? How do her relationships with other staff members provide solace and assist with collective healing?

I think AOC is very brave, to talk about such trauma, a lot of courage is needed. During the live stream that she was a survivor of sexual assault, something she said many people did not know because there were only so many times she’d wanted to tell that story. But she was mentioning it now, she said, because of its relevance to the attack at the Capitol. Later people began to think the event “wasn’t a big deal,” or that reconciliation depended on “moving on.” She is very brave to stand out to share and I think people shouldn’t be ignorant, forgiving people is not very easy.

4. What is the difference between Fame and Infamy? What does the insurrection say about the shadow side of celebrityhood and false idolatry? Fame means renown and reputation, or a position of public prominence. Someone can be famous for making a scientific breakthrough. Infamy is a dubious social distinction gained by committing a terrible act. An example of idolatry would be trump’s followers supports him whatever he says or does, even if it provokes dissensions or no common sense.

5. The social media, live-streamed insurrection: what does it mean that the perpetrators of the Capitol siege provided photographic and video evidence of their crimes? Was this more evidence of delusion? Of white privilege?

The live stream on social media represents the superiority of the white and the evidence of delusion. Livestreams show Trump’s followers are proud of what they are doing and are idolatrous of what they are doing.

6. Discuss the role of citizen sleuths and the anonymous creator of Faces of the Riot in this ongoing collaboration with the FBI. How does the hive mind serve as a corrective? I think by using the power of social media, it could be helpful for the citizen sleuth to collaborate with the FBI since more people more power. People could report if they have important clues and share them online. The action serves as a hive mindset since people collectively are using their own power to contribute to one thing.
